Margo Burian
Painting pushes the boundaries of both fiction and reality. While the illusion of space in Margo's work is based in reality, she tends to take certain liberties with that reality. Therefore the painted space lies somewhere in the middle ground between fact and fiction. Margo is constantly seeking to describe the essence of her subject without becoming mired in detail or minutia; to have a sense of clarity about what visually needs to be said. That indeed is the challenge.
